Is America really that bad, when you get down to it? We may do some stupid things, but we could instead be, you know, evil instead.

Both Charlie Kaufman and his (fictional) brother Donald were nominated for Oscars (for the screenplay for Adaptation). Is someone trying to be funny, or is the Academy really that stupid? (I’d say the latter.)
